Wow! I owe each and everyone of you a huge THANK YOU! Since selling my first HF product in the winter of 2011, its been a whirlwind of trials and of victories. I’ve received a ton of love and support throughout this time. 2013 was memorable in so many ways and HoldFast grew so very much throughout the year. Christmas was mind-blowing, to say the least, and now I’m extremely excited for 2014.
One of my guiding principles when making my product is I make each product for myself, to fill a need that I have. For instance, I don’t understand the needs of a carpenter, therefore I do not make products for carpenters. You know what I mean? I’m a photographer. It’s what drives me. I’m creating a world for myself and how I see myself working. I want to feel and look a certain way. I want to communicate my image to the people I work with from first site all the way to really knowing who I am. This has been my dream since 2004 when I was doing humanitarian photography in Haiti and couldn’t find proper gear that suited my needs. That dream stayed with me when I started shooting weddings in 2007 because I couldn’t find proper gear that fit the way I wanted to dress.
Finally in 2011, I put my hands to this dream and I haven’t let go. It’s been said, “No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit”. That’s what I have done. I grabbed this dream and I will not look back. Thank you for sharing in this dream!
