Paul wrote, “Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies.” One thousand years earlier Solomon wrote, “A plan in the heart of a man is like deep water, But a man of understanding draws it out.”

Love builds up while understanding will search, find and develop. Often “experience” and “knowledge” serves to get in the way if those things override love. When they do override love then that “knowledge” is considered nothing more than a clanging cymbal, of which nothing can be received. Have you considered what a clanging cymbal, a loud annoying sound, accomplishes? It drives people away. This means truth in some cases may never be delivered without love and understanding. Without these truth cannot be heard. You have to realize that truth should be the result of love and understanding, it should flow from it and not precede it. Leading with knowledge is arrogant and drives people away.

Another way of saying this is: The value of truth can only be seen when wrapped up in love and delivered through edification.A7r_05_1128A7r_05_1145D3X_3269DSC01156Nex7_05_6317

Went to Mississippi for Memorial day weekend and took my kids to pay with horses. They of course had a blast and I snapped a few shots.
