Woke up this morning and found this from Proverbs 9:11 “For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you.” This seemed rather poignant to me on the remembrance of one of the most devastating days in US History. Though we as people may at times be attacked by every side, we have a hope that can never be taken. We have been struck, but we have also stood back upright. Through one of the darkest and most evil of human actions rises some of the most beautiful and creative of human actions. A lot can be said about this day, and about humanity in general. But in the end this is what I choose: “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed”
