From the get-go, HoldFast’s allegiance lies in this: steadfast dedication to professional photographers and the systems they utilize. Committed to paving the way, HoldFast gear accentuates style while also performing comfortably and efficiently. Responsible for creating a new genre within the industry, we’re changing the way photographers look and feel while doing their best work.

In this series, you’ll hear stories of HoldFast gear and the photographers–the pioneers, the adventurers, the originals–that use them. This is How You HoldFast.

If there’s one decision a photographer should never have to make, it’s having to choose being capturing the moment–that’s gone just as quickly as it comes–and safeguarding their gear. Using HoldFast Gear means you don’t need to choose. Designed with the utmost safety in mind, the HoldFast Money Maker has saved many a camera from toppling to the ground amidst the juggle of switching bodies mid-shoot. Just ask Erika Diaz.

When I started my business four years ago, I shot with two bodies and single camera straps. I remember thinking how crazy annoying it was to have to carry two cameras like this, and how incredibly difficult it was to change from one to the other without choking myself or looking like a juggler,” Diaz says.

A wedding and elopement photographer serving South Florida and the Midwest, Diaz began shooting six years ago, but made the decision to head into photograph full-time just three years ago. Diaz saw the Money Maker on other professional photographers and realized it was worth the investment.

“Once it arrived and I had my first wedding with the Money Maker, I knew that I should’ve had taken the plunge to get one from the moment I bought a second body. I  loved how easy it was to use.”

Diaz describes the Money Maker as reliable and strong, due largely to the fact it harnesses (pun intended) oftentimes an insane amount of weight from both cameras and other gear that’s attached. Because of this HoldFast designed the multi-camera carrying system to include a double level of protection with clips and a safety lanyard for securing bodies to the straps.

“I love the double security feature on the system. I’ve had the clip get loose during shoots and the safety catch has done its job beautifully!” Diaz explains. “It helps to know that I can truly focus on my clients instead of having to constantly be guarding my gear to make sure it doesn’t fall. I don’t worry about my gear falling or having to get my other camera body from a bag because I have everything I need right there and it’s completely secure! I needed something that would last me a lifetime, that looked professional, and that would be reliable. As a wedding photographer, it can be pretty stressful to be able to use two bodies without a system like the Money Maker.”

In addition to being dependable, the sheer stylishness of the Money Maker has Diaz talking.

“It just looks professional. Other things I have used didn’t look part of my brand. I am constantly trying to tie everything that I do around that – even what I wear! So, the system is beautifully looking but also shows that you’re a pro. I can’t tell you the relief I felt and how professional it made me feel,” says Diaz.

Because Diaz has found a system that works for her, she’s found it’s greatly enhanced not only her experience when shooting, but also allowed her to give valuable insight and attention to detail when working with her clients during the biggest and best moments of their lives.

“I can tell you that the way I shoot weddings changed that day because of the confidence I felt and the security I had because I could give my clients the attention the deserved, and I could shoot without worrying about which camera strap was on top of the other and how was I going to untangle that mess for the next shot. I have seen how wearing it and not having to worry about my gear gives me energy to focus on what’s actually going on with my couples and capture them freely. The Money Maker has been on the best purchases I’ve made so far! I can’t ever go back to the way it was before.”
