From the get-go, HoldFast’s allegiance lies in this: steadfast dedication to professional photographers and the systems they utilize. Committed to paving the way, HoldFast gear accentuates style while also performing comfortably and efficiently. Responsible for creating a new genre within the industry, we’re changing the way photographers look and feel while doing their best work.

In this series, you’ll hear stories of HoldFast gear and the photographers–the pioneers, the adventurers, the originals–that use them. This is How You HoldFast.

According to Jenn Daigle, the hallmarks of her work are both adaptability and versatility. The Los Angeles based photographer prides herself on being able to tell what she calls “The Greatest Story Ever Told”, which is that of her clients. Her desire for telling truly authentic stories requires her to be present with her clients for the preservation of their memories is evident in her work as a portrait and lifestyle brand photographer.

Daigle is a natural light photographer; this means she’s got to be comfortable shooting in almost every setting, as she explains on her site. To do so, the last night that needs to be on her mind is whether or not her gear is up to the task of adapting to what’s required to capture things when Daigle needs to have them just so.

Upon the recommendation of Erwin Darmali of Apertura, Daigle purchased a Money Maker. “I chose the Money Maker because I wanted a device that allowed me to be hands-free, without making me look like I was wearing something that would take me into outer space,” Daigle says. What other camera carrying systems fell short in appeal, HoldFast made up for in spades. “Other competitors’ options were simply lacking any type of style and comfortability. I pulled the trigger because I had not found another product to even come close to the Money Maker.”

Designed with the highest quality grade leather, and created with both form and function in mind, the HoldFast Money Maker created an entire new niche in the camera gear market, something Daigle picked up on right away.

“I’m a wedding and portrait photographer; I attend very high class events, and the last thing I wanted to wear was a black fabric holster with mesh and plastic hardware. The leather was a game changer for me,” explains Daigle. “I’ve seen other “knock-offs”, and you can either tell the leather isn’t as high quality, the hardware looks cheap, and the functionality just isn’t the same. I picked HoldFast because of the functionality and style of the product, as well as the fact that I love supporting entrepreneurs! The moneymakers aesthetic is great for what I do.”

Prior to sporting a Money Maker, Daigle was having face the challenge of configuring multiple camera straps each time she would head off to shoot.

“I used to shoot with both bodies on each of my shoulders with a standard camera strap, and it was always a risk. Depending upon my clothing, my camera strap could slide off and the body would fall, or I would always have to set one camera body down. It was completely inefficient,” Daigle says.

The Money Maker has essentially provided an entirely new shooting experience for Daigle. One she says she noticed immediately upon purchasing and utilizing her first piece of HoldFast Gear.

“The Money Maker has eliminated all of that for me. It truly changed the way I shoot! The first wedding I shot with my Money Maker was the moment I realized that I could now move and not have to worry about dropping one of my bodies,” remarks Daigle. “I love that I can simply have both camera bodies on me whenever I choose and be hands-free!”

Because of its design, Money Makers are able to withstand the full weight of up to three separate camera bodies, in addition to certain pieces of additional gear, like the HoldFast Sightseer or Explorer lines, without any sort of cause for concern that a photographer’s gear is dangling precariously or haphazardly.

“I love the D rings that allow the camera to slide with ease. I’m never sitting around adjusting my Money Maker. I put it on, and it truly takes the pressure off of having to hold your camera.”

“I can finally move wearing the Money Maker!” Daigle says. I no longer fear dropping a body, and I am free to let my bodies hang by my side while I interact with my clients. I can remember times that I have had to run while wearing my gear, and the Money Maker has saved me in those moments.”

“For me, there’s nothing like the HoldFast Money Maker.”
