“A man’s discretion makes him slow to anger, And it is his glory to overlook an offense”
Being offended, and letting people know how offended you are, only really shows how frail your mental strength is. Listen, I could easily be offended by a thousand different things a day by a thousand different people but living that type of life really sucks. It’s draining. It’s sad. It boxes you in and separates you from a very real world that desperately needs people to be less hyper aware of their feelings and more compassionate and helpful to those around them. It’s really, really hard to help someone 1 mile away of you can’t walk a few steps without getting offended and hurt by someone that shouldn’t have that kind of power over you. Do you realize that when you let yourself be offended then the offender actually has power over you? Let that sink in for a minute.
You mustn’t stop because of your feelings. Start moving and helping and working even harder because of your feelings. You don’t make change by attacking, you make change by building.
